The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers’ EAP offers a comprehensive training program for members who are interested in learning more about mental health and becoming resources for their communities. As part of this program, they invited Dr. Vernig to discuss suicide prevention.
ECRI, one of the nation’s foremost experts in patient safety and evidence-based healthcare, requested Dr. Vernig to join as a presenter and subject matter expert in their patient safety organization’s safety sprint on suicide prevention.
Dr. Vernig was invited to speak for Rasmussen University Career Services about how members of the university community (students, professors, administrators, other professionals, and their alumni network) can help address the unmet needs surrounding mental illness and substance use disorder in their communities.
