Dr. Vernig presented a continuing education seminar to over 800 behavioral health professionals as part of RCA Academy. His training included causes and incidence of trauma, symptoms and features of PTSD, differentiating complex trauma and C-PTSD, and evidence-based past- and present-focused interventions.
Dr. Vernig was sought by the US Secret Service to present on the impacts of trauma and how to spot symptoms in colleagues and offer assistance.

The Rescue Mission of Trenton had Dr. Vernig return for a second, day-long training for their clinical staff. He presented a comprehensive guide for the identification and management of trauma.
This continuing education program for RCA Academy focused on evidence-based interventions for anger management. Dr. Vernig presented a CBT-based model of anger and aggression, and taught participants to implement effective treatment strategies with their patients.
